Fondue (a word of French origin) is a recipe from the Swiss and it can be consumed in the coldest days of winter in the mountains but it became very popular everywhere. The most common are the types of meat, cheese and chocolate. For meat fondue, the meat is fried up (which may be of beef, chicken, shrimp or other) in a small special pot and then it is served up with different sauces. For cheese fondue, a special blend of cheeses is melted in the pot and, with the help of small forks, small pieces of bread is dived up in the melted mixture. The same is done in chocolate fondue, replacing the cheese by the chocolate and the bread by pieces of fruit.

What are the existing types of fondue appliance?

The fondue appliance is usually not too different from each other and the more often vary between models is their size and quantity of cutlery that they contain. But if you want to consume as much salt as sweet fondue (cheese, meat or chocolate) it is advisable the use of different devices, after all the taste may be affected by possible waste of other flavors.
